oh shit yeah. i saw them at bonnaroo for the first time after being a fan for years and it was unfuckingreal. they played hazards of love in its entirety, then finished up with a smaller set of some hits. it was so good that my boy and i traveled from dallas to houston to see them a second time. hazards of love is definitely in my top 10 favorite albums ever. it might even be in the top 5. or 3. who can say.

Is it weird that We Were Promised Jet Packs reminds me of Aaron Perrino? "It's Thunder and It's Lighting" builds and crescendoes, and then the Scottish dude yells, and he might as well be Aaron Perrino at that point. You'll probably not agree, but I like "It's Thunder and It's Lightining" for the same reason I like "Back to the Cradle." Oh, I also like "Barbarians," too, even though there's no yelling. "Show me a way / it's ok / it's just not enough ... " Solid.
