What you wrote is beautiful. I am 14 years removed from Tech and half a world away, and I still feel a strong attachment to the university. I follow the Hokies religiously, even my wife can't understand. The shootings felt like a punch to the stomach. It was strange to see the green of drill field and limestone gray of the buildings on TV, but under such a different light from the happy memories of my undergraduate years. Thank you for your writing.
